Kahawa LogosMissions organizations are perceived in different ways by different people and the products that a mission produces are often judged not on their own quality but rather on the merits of the “cause.” Those who agree with a mission’s views might buy an inferior product simply because of the message. Others might choose to not purchase a high quality product they would otherwise like simply because it is produced by a mission.

As we begin to produce materials which are aimed at people in the broader culture rather than just at church members, the effectiveness of our witness will be linked not only to the message contained in our products, but also to whether or not people are willing to pick up those products. By using “Kahawa Media,” Pamoja is removing barriers preventing us from reaching people who otherwise might reject our products without even being exposed to the message.

Kahawa Media is an umbrella covering three ministry areas. Kahawa Productions is our movie making division. Kahawa Records is our record label. Kahawa Press & Mwandani Publishers is our book publishing and printing department. We’re already working in all of these areas, but there’s lots of room for growth, and much of it depends on people like you responding to the call to come. Join Kahawa, and use your creative, technical and administrative skills to help with the job of “flavoring nations.”
In a very real sense, Kahawa Media is our way of taking the Gospel to people rather than expecting them to come to us. It’s not a change of message, but we believe it engages new people. Our goal has always been discipleship, drawing people into relationship with Christ Jesus. Kahawa Media is our response to the call to impact many people. The vision of Kahawa Media is “flavoring nations.” The vision of Pamoja Ministries is “discipling cultures through media.” We’re the salt of the earth. Do you see the connection?
